Privacy Policy

Forgebound Systems LLC (“company”, “I”, “we” or “us”) is dedicated to respecting the privacy of your personal information, and this privacy policy describes what information is collected from you on forgeboundresearch.com (hereinafter the “website”) and how it is used. The term “you” refers to anyone who uses, visits and/or views the website.

By visiting and using the website, you accept and agree to be bound by this privacy policy. Your continued use of the website after posting of any changes to our Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of those changes and updates. You must not access or use the website if you do not wish to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

Children’s Privacy

We respect the privacy of children and “child” means an individual under the age of 13. All information and content on this website is intended for individuals over the age of 18. Children under the age of 13 are prohibited from using this website. We do not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information from children under the age of 13 without prior parental or guardian consent. If you believe personal information is collected from someone under the age of 13 without parental or guardian consent, please contact us to have that information deleted.

What Information We Collect and How It Is Used

When you access the website, you may provide certain personally identifiable information including but not limited to your name and email address — for example when you subscribe to our newsletter, contact us through our contact form, or leave a comment on a post.

Your personal information is used to respond to you, deliver the newsletter you signed up for, and improve the website. We process this data based on your consent (newsletter sign-up, analytics cookies), our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website (log data), and as necessary to respond to inquiries you send us.

This website automatically collects certain Log Data about every visitor: your computer’s Internet Protocol Address (“IP” address), browser information, Internet Service Provider’s information, your operating system, and your browser type. Separately, if you consent to analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about your location, browsing history, the pages you visit, equipment you used to access the website, traffic patterns, and other general patterns related to your use of the website. Google Analytics does not run, and no analytics cookies are set, until you affirmatively consent — see “Use of Cookies” below.

Comments

If you leave a comment, the comment, its metadata, and the IP address and browser information logged with it are retained for as long as the associated post remains published, or until you request its deletion. This lets us recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. Your name, email address and website/organization name entered with a comment are not shared with a third party.

Use of Cookies

The website uses cookies to facilitate your use of the website, including for analytics (Google Analytics, loaded via Google Tag Manager) and to remember your cookie consent choice. Cookies are files with small amounts of data that a website sends to your browser when you view the website.

We use a consent management tool (Complianz) that blocks Google Analytics and other non-essential cookies we’ve configured until you affirmatively consent. You can review or withdraw your consent at any time using the “Manage Consent” control on the site. Some embedded third-party content — for example our Beehiiv newsletter signup form — is not one of the services managed by Complianz and may set its own cookies independent of this consent tool; see Beehiiv’s own privacy policy for details on how it handles data. See our Cookie Policy for more on the categories of cookies we use.

Third Party Links and Embedded Content

We may include, offer or advertise third party links on the website, and some pages embed third-party content such as our Beehiiv newsletter signup form. Once you click on a third party link and leave this website, or interact with embedded third-party content, you are no longer bound by our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, and that third party’s own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third parties we link to or embed.

Disclosure of Your Information

As a general rule, we do not disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent, with the exception of the following circumstances:

  • We may disclose your information to trusted third parties that work with us, such as our website hosting provider, Google (for website analytics, once you consent), and our email newsletter provider (Beehiiv), to the extent necessary for them to provide their service to us.
  • We may disclose your information in order to comply with state or federal regulations or legal claims related to the website.
  • We may disclose your information to a successor and/or acquiring party in the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, dissolution or partial sale of the business, in which case your information would be transferred subject to this privacy policy.

Some of the services above (including Google Analytics) may process data in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Email Marketing

You have the option of opting in to or unsubscribing from our newsletter (sent via Beehiiv). We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 and do not send misleading communications. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting us.

GDPR Visitor Rights

We apply GDPR-style data protection standards to all visitors, regardless of your location. You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • The right to access the data we store about you.
  • The right to rectify or erase your personal data.
  • The right to restrict or object to our processing of your data.
  • The right to data portability.
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time.
  • The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (if you are located in the EU).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will retain your information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or until you request its deletion. We do not process special categories of data and do not conduct large-scale systematic monitoring of EU visitors, so we do not consider an EU representative necessary under GDPR Article 27.

We do not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals because no common industry standard for DNT compliance has been established.

Security

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Privacy Policy Updates

This privacy policy was last updated on July 17, 2026. Any modifications will be effective upon posting, and your continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Contact

For any questions regarding this privacy policy, or to exercise your data rights, contact us at [email protected], or by mail at: Forgebound Systems LLC, 5900 Balcones Drive #21686, Austin, TX 78731.
